Creation vs. Evolution debate

Actually, it has been more of a monologue than a debate:

Scientist rejected for post at University of Kentucky because of possible skepticism of evolution.

I do not know the merits of this particular case, so it is possible that Martin Gaskell does not have a legal leg to stand on. But it is clear that evolution - whose scientific foundations are shaky at best - is more of a cult than a science. Skeptics like Gaskell are heretics who will be punished.
