Musings of a Recovering Lutheran: Today's verse

Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?

Then said I, Here am I; send me.

Today's verse

I bless the LORD who gives me counsel;
in the night also my heart instructs me.
I have set the LORD always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.

Psalm 16:7-8 (CEV)

I bless the Lord? You mean it's possible for me to bless the Lord?

Happy New Year from Southern California. No snow here but a lot of rain storms and mud slides!

I hope you and your family had a Wonderful Christmas Celebration.

God Bless You, ~Ron

The word "bless" is an interesting translation, which is one reason I chose this verse. The NIV version of this verse says:

I will praise the LORD, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me.
I keep my eyes always on the LORD.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
